Facebook Places is a great way for users to keep in touch with their friends and family while they’re at a given moment. This post will show you how to create or claim your Place.
If you’re a business owner, then you should create a Facebook Place for your establishment. It’s also possible that a Place has already been created.
To create a Place, go to the Facebook app on your mobile device and check-in. After clicking the check-in button, the site will show a list of places that are already created in your area. Make sure your GPS is on.
If you don’t see your business in the list, go to the search bar and type in the name of the establishment that you want to add to it. After clicking the “Add,” you’ll be taken to a page where you can officially add your Place.
Claim your place
On your computer, type in the name of the establishment that you want to add to the Facebook Places list. If it doesn’t show up immediately, then go to the Pages section and check out the new Place that you created.
After creating a Facebook Page, what’s next is converting this Place into a Facebook Page and you’ll be able to merge the two listings. Make sure to read the instructions carefully to avoid missing them.
